We are a community based on mutual respect and shared goals. We welcome members of all backgrounds and continuously seek to understand, learn and incorporate different perspectives.

Values of the Hub

Inclusivity

Discrimination has no place on our website. We welcome members of all backgrounds, geographic locations, religions, gender identities, sexes, languages, races, ages, and political affiliations. While we strive to create an inclusive community, we recognize that we are limited by our own perspectives and will make mistakes. If you have a suggestion for how we can improve, or if you experience any type of discrimination while using this platform, please contact us immediately. You may use this anonymous reporting tool, or send us a message directly.

Health Climate Hub places a high priority on protecting your privacy.

Health Climate Hub community members that sign up to receive e-communications voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address) which we will use soley for communications related to this platform. You may always “opt out,” either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.

The Health Climate Hub does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses or private information.

Community Code of Conduct

The Health Climate Hub connects people from a wide range of experiences around one shared purpose: advancing knowledge and practice in heath, climate, and environmental initiatives done by, for, and with members of the public. The topics engaged by this community can arouse debate, and disagreements may occur. We see it is as a part of our explicit mission to set up a space so that these discussions can occur. However, there is a line between debate and disrespect – and if that line is crossed, the space is no longer productive. For that reason we strive to create a positive, equitable, and open culture based on the following guidelines:

All communication – online and otherwise – should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds.
Practice compassion in all interactions.
We enable and encourage all members of our diverse community to propose ideas regardless of education level, political orientation, or professional experience. Please respect diversity and foster inclusion.
Inform oneself of norms and customs of others and avoid engaging in behavior that may be considered disrespectful.
Listen to other points of view and seek to understand them.
Engage people respectfully in discussion. If you disagree with someone or something being said, kindly remain focused on the topic and refrain from personal attacks.
Respect others’ time by being on time to meetings and events, staying present and providing information in a timely manner.
Harassment is never acceptable and will not be tolerated.
Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ageist, ableist or any other kind of discriminatory statements or actions are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Code of Conduct Violations

Please report any violations of our code of conduct either directly on our contact page, or through this anonymous reporting function tool. All reports will be investigated. Members or organizations who are found to be in violation of our code of conduct will be subject to disciplinary action including potential removal from the platform.
